Rapper Bang Bang will be fighting on the 26th of January in nightclub the Escape in Amsterdam, raising funds to provide drinking water to poor people in Bangladesh.
Now that we have a live system, we can help to reduce poverty fast by getting small drinking water and sanitation projects realized across the globe. We match funds directly to trusted projects, quickly and easily. The opportunities – and the results – are there for all to see.
Last week we came in contact with rapper Bang Bang who got inspired by these pictures that were taken by Eddy van Wessel during a cyclone that hit Bangladesh.
Bang Bang decided it was time to make a difference. He challenged a kickboxer and will fight to provide safe drinking water for poor people in Bangladesh, that lack it today. The K-1 fight will take place on the 26th of January in the Escape in Amsterdam. Bang Bang expects to raise up to 10,000 Euro for this cause.
This morning Luuk and I visited Bang Bang at his home in Amsterdam. We have offered to help him find a suitable quality project to support, make sure the money gets to the right place and enable his fans to follow progress online. We are working hard to get all information about the project up as soon as possible, to be able to share it openly.
The preparation for this fight for water can be followed in a real life documentary over the next weeks. This second video gives background information and shows how Bang Bang is being trained by K1 fighters.
Pictures taken during our meeting with Bang Bang can be found here.
