Akvo is working closely with UNICEF in West and Central Africa (WCARO), Ethiopia and the Pacific Region. Work is ongoing for national water point mapping exercises in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Mali, Benin, Guinee Conakry, Ethiopia, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Fiji and Vanuatu. The partnership focuses on facilitating continuous national monitoring. Akvo has additionally been closely supporting UNICEF in its role as lead responder following Hurricane Pam in Vanuatu. UNICEF is also a partner in the Football for Water programme, a €27 million programme which is using Akvo RSR and Akvo FLOW to profile work to use the popularity and energy of football to water and sanitation in 1100 schools in Ghana, Mozambique and Kenya.
