Rotary Apeldoorn 't Loo

Rotary Club Apeldoorn ’t Loo is active in fundraising for clean water and sanitation projects, and raising awareness within our community regarding water issues far away and close to home. Since 2009 this has been realized through a cooperation agreement with Aqua for All.

On March 25th 2011 Rotary Apeldoorn ’t Loo will be organizing “Wandelen voor Water Apeldoorn 2011” in which 14 primary schools from Apeldoorn (more than 600 children) will participate. Those schools include:

History:

In march 2010 Rotary Apeldoorn ‘t Loo organized “Wandelen voor Water Apeldoorn” for the first time and raised more than €40.000 for clean water project in Indonesia and Mozambique.

In 2009 RC Apeldoorn ‘t Loo organized the golf attraction on Queen’s Day in which the Dutch Royal family participated, and the yearly “Park Golf Tournament” that was held in June. The theme for both of these events was “Chip in for Clean Water” and featured a floating golf green in Apeldoorn’s Oranjepark.
A demonstration of simple and effective clean water techniques was built for both of the abovementioned events and which was later put on display in the Dutch Water Museum between July and November 2009.
