EU in Kyrgyzstan

The EU maintains diplomatic relations with nearly all countries in the world. It has strategic partnerships with key international players, is deeply engaged with emerging powers around the globe. Abroad, the Union is represented by a network of 136 EU Delegations. Human rights, democracy and the rule of law are core values for the European Union. The EU seeks to ensure that all human rights – be they civil, political, economic, social or cultural – are respected everywhere, as stipulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and reaffirmed by the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights. It also promotes the rights of women, children, persons belonging to minorities, as well as displaced persons.
