Protect and Respect

Two safe-motherhood campaigns were conducted in August as planned. These two safe-motherhood campaigns were conducted in Machinga District at Nyambi and the other one in Mulanje District, at a site named Namasalima. One activity attracted not less than 1 500 men, women, community leaders and most of the audience were the youths. other stakeholders like Police, Ministry of Health and other NGOs were providing the services in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH). Family planning methods, HIV Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) 104 people accessed the services at Nyambi, and 93 people accessed at Namasalima. These SRH services were provided campaign. Each community came up with what they wanted to reduce in their area, Machinga-No! To early marriages and bearing and Mulanje -No! To early child bearing.
