A three day training was organized on the theme of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Media, and it took place in Adama from 2 to 4 June 2012. Thirty-one media professionals from sixteen media outlets across the nation took part in the training. These include Ethiopian News Agency (ENA), Addis Ababa Television (A.A.TV), Dimtsi Woyanie Tigray (DWT), Afro FM radio, Sheger FM radio, Benshangul Gumuz Government Communication Affairs Office, Dire Dawa Mass Media Agency, South Nations, Nationalities and People Region Mass Media Agency (SNNPR MMA), Daily Monitor newspaper, FANA Broadcasting Corporate (FBC), ZAMI FM Radio, Ethiopia Radio and Television Agency (ERTA), Tigray MMA, Ethiopian Environmental Journalists Association (EEJA), Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE), Ministry of Education (MoE), and Oromiya Television (OTV). The training aimed at highlighting the corporate social responsibility of the media in general and that of the media professionals in particular to give due coverage to socially relevant issues such as WaSH.
