Drinking Water School Ban Tja Luai

Thanks to the Dutch Theatre festival: " The Parade", E-Water and school Agius de Soldanis on Malta, the school children of school Tja Luai in rural North-East Thailand finally have access to clean and safe drinking water. HOAT foundation installed a rainwater catchment and purification system. In a litlle more than 3 weeks the job was done. Rainwater tanks were repaired and updated with new water catchment and filtering techniques, gutters and downspouts were replaced an atractive drinkingplace for the children was build and the water purification- and conservation system was installed. The children and teachers were all very happy now they finally can drink clean water at school and they don't have to worry anymore of getting ill of pathogenic bacteria. The day that the system was activated HOAT foundation gave a presentation for all the children and teachers. A doctor of the hospital was invited to give a presentation on the dangerous of drinking contaminated water. The day was a great succes and everybody feld that a real improvement had been achieved.
