When creating new software you often have a decent idea of what you want it to become. Often you have too many ideas, and the challenge is really more about setting priorities and deciding what to do next.
The way we at Akvo communicate this is through something we call a road map. The road map is good for several things, but the main use for it is really to communicate with everyone who is relying on the system we are building, what comes next. So that you who use it can plan ahead, but also so that you can tell us when we need to change our plans if you think we have got our priorities wrong.
