Oriol is a member of the Release engineering team at Akvo. He is an infrastructure engineer with a strong belief in DevOps culture. He is responsible for the automated provisioning, deployment, configuration, management and maintenance of Akvo’s underlying IT infrastructure. Overall, his main goal is to ensure the stability and continuity of all Akvo services relying on this infrastructure.

Oriol holds BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science from Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain. His background is in cloud computing and distributed IT systems. Previous positions include research engineer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and DevOps engineering roles in other companies where he was agile operating cloud systems focusing on performance, scalability and high-availability. Valeria is an Android and full stack developer at Akvo. With a degree in Computer Science from the University of Paris VIII, Valeria has brought ample experience in programming to the development of Akvo Flow since 2016. Prior to joining Akvo, she worked as a senior Android developer at Letgo, 3&Punt and Oblong Industries. She also has completed courses in Java Programming and Analysis and Developing Scalable Apps in Java with the Google App Engine. Dan is part of Akvo’s Platforms team, taking care of common services and infrastructure, cross team architecture concerns and technical direction.

Dan holds an MSc in Computer Engineering from Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Spain. He has been working professionally since 2000, building monolithic websites, embedded applications, low latency systems, micro services, streaming, and big data applications. A long time Java practitioner, he now also loves Clojure.
