In his role as technical account manager, Arun focuses on improving the support and research for Akvo tools and services.
Prior to joining Akvo, Arun was a postdoctoral researcher at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He earned his PhD from the Laboratory of Geo-Information Science and Remote Sensing at Wageningen University and his MSc from the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) at the University of Twente. His primary expertise lies in citizen science, remote sensing, geo-information technologies and mobile application development for environmental monitoring. In his research, he explores innovative ways of combining satellite data and community-based observations for near real-time forest monitoring.
