Office manager, Bamako

Marja has been Akvo Bamako’s office manager since January 2018. In her role, she supports the team with practical operations and makes sure everything in the office is running smoothly. Marja has lived in Bamako since 2002 when she started a travel agency with her husband. Prior to that, she worked at the Dutch Embassy in Bamako as a record manager. Her last job in the Netherlands was the coordinator of national projects and actions at FNV Vrouwenbond. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Women’s Education from Hogeschool De Horst in Driebergen and a Project Management certificate from Hogeschool Amsterdam.
